StockXchange launcheS inTO Africa in KEY EXPANSION move

StockXchange organiser the IDEX Group is pleased to announce its first event on the African continent, with the launch of StockXchange Lagos, as a joint venture with Clarion Events. Following the successful re-launch of the UK show in September 2017 in London, the Lagos, Nigeria event will take place on 13-15th November 2018 at the Landmark Exhibition Centre, Victoria Island, Lagos alongside the Home Décor & Giftware show which was successfully held there in 2016.

The show’s arrival in Lagos has been planned in response to huge growth in Nigeria – West Africa is the largest retail market in sub-Saharan Africa, worth $215bn annually. Nigeria offers a fast growing middle and emerging middle class with a burgeoning consumer spending base.

Nigeria’s middle class has grown by 600% and now includes 4.1 million households, equivalent to 11% of the population. As researched by the Global Retail Development Index, Nigeria is the leading retail market in Africa with $125bn of retail sales recorded in 2016.

StockXchange Lagos will receive a high quality and qualified buyer audience because it’s held alongside the successful existing Home Décor & Giftware which already delivers thousands of retailers, importers and wholesalers.

The show will be co-organised with Clarion Events which has a regional office in Lagos, Nigeria providing exhibitors with on-the-ground logistical support and know-how, and is supported by the Fashion Designers Association of Nigeria (FDAN) and Retail Council of Nigeria (RCN) giving industry credibility and support.

StockXchange Lagos is co-organised by IDEX Exhibition Events Ltd. and Clarion Events Ltd., who are responsible for 180 international trade fairs every year delivered from 13 global offices, including a portfolio of Retail & Home exhibitions covering design-led and every-day giftware & homeware. These market leading events support over 3,000 exhibitors to meet with over 60,000 discerning retailers and professionals from around the world every year.
